The Value Of A Smile At Christmas

The Value Of A Smile At Christmas

It costs nothing, but creates much.
It enriches those who receive, without it impoverishing
those who give
It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes
lasts forever.
None are so rich they can get along without it, and none
so poor but are richer for its benefits.
It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a
business, and is the countersign of friends
It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sun-
shine to the sad, and nature’s best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen,
for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody
till it is given away.
And if in the last-minute rush of Christmas buying, some
of our salespeople should be too tired to give you a
smile, may we ask you to leave one of yours?
For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have
none left to give

Snow, Snow and more Snow

The best laid plans of mice and men

Snow, Snow and more Snow

Part 3: For the last week we have had SNOW. Thursday the first day we had
four inches in three hours every thing looked fantastic, just like
a christmas card. The second day the internet went down not to be
seen again untill today Tuesday.

We have used a months wood in one week so now we will have to
stock up with more, it's a good job we live in the National Park.

The previous weeks gails brought down several trees, the forest
commission send men out to cut them up into logs and they always
leave plenty for the locals to collect you just have to know where
they leave them.

So that is our next job first dry day we have.

The dogs loved it they have never seen snow and thought it was
great fun, chickens poor things could not understand it and
stopped laying their eggs and the sheep they just went into
their barn and stayed there.

I've taken pictures on my mobile just need to find disc to download
them to my laptop

The locals say the last time it was like this was thirty years ago and
never as early as November,

Who would have thought we live in Sunny Spain still every cloud as a
Silver Lining I got all my housework done, no washing but I caught
up with my ironing and more important I have caught up with my writing.

Laws of Autosuggestion

No One is Doomed To "Bad Luck"...

Ever feel that the world is "against you"?
That there's a black cloud that seem to follow you around

You start with you hopes and dreams intact, and a series
of hurdles are thrown in your way to derail you.

Well, believe it or not you CAN change ALL THIS, and start living your dream.

Napoleon Hill quotes a verse in his book that describes the law of auto suggestion (notice Napoleon says "law" of autosuggestion)... as Napoleon says... "through which any person may rise to altitudes of achievement which stagger the imagination."

Here's the verse...

"If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.
"If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will,
It's all in the state of mind.
"If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before,
You can ever win a prize.
"Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or the faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!"
END.
