Fear As Many Faces

“Without courage, wisdom bears no fruit.” — Baltasar Gracián

What stops us? Keeps us from doing what we need to do? Prevents us from experiencing the depth of relationships, love and meaning in our lives?

Fear is something we all experience—it’s part of the human condition. The only way to dispel fear is to look it in the face and utilize courage. Courage is not the absence of fear, it’s the triumph over it, revealing to you what you’re truly capable of.

Feel the Fear and do it anyway

Today Started of with Good Intensions Again

Part 2: It is now one week later, I trot down to the local IT centre this morning, the sun is out and every thing is right with the world, last week was the challenge of not being able to delete messages from my autoresponder so I went home and deleted the work and put in a new draft copy of my course to test when I arrived today.

So here we are again, logged into my auto responder account, my work is waiting to be tested great this should not take to long. Silly me how wrong could I be, clicked on test and hey a blank green screen appears "wheres my fountain of all knowledge" over he trots and I show him what's gone wrong and I'm told the sites blocked, but I say it was working ok last week and he say's yep but it's not this. That's Spain for you.

Well what is an IT centre for? (a taking shop about what you can and can't do on the computors)

Well what to do now another challange to sort out.

Today is Wednesday and on Friday we could go to the coast some 50 miles away. My cousin has an apartment and the internet connectin is good "sometimes" should I risk it. The other option is to load one part of my course a day in the morning when the connection is a little better.

They say every cloud as a silver lining so I'll look on the bright side if I'm on the coast and the internet is no good we can go down to the beach for an hour and relax.

I feel sorry for the expats here at the centre soon we will not be able to access any sites at all, at least we have the option of a ride to the coast. Sand, Sea, Sunshine and Internet fantastic I hope.

Well let's move on email and blogging here I come.

Rating eBook Compilers

Rating eBook Compilers

Part Ten: Now that you've finished writing your eBook and have
a basic understanding of what an eBook compiler does,
you may be feeling overwhelmed by the number of compilers
on the market. To help you make your decision, I have tested
and reviewed the best-rated eBook compilers currently available.

* E-ditor

This software has a demo version that you can download
to try out before purchasing. You can't actually use the demo
to create an eBook, but you can run the software and test it out
thoroughly to see if it does what you need it to do for your
particular eBook.

This eBook compiler is one of the easiest to use. The software
has a very user-friendly help menu that provides instructions
for and explanations of every field on every screen. The
program also includes video tutorials demonstrating every step
of this compiler with clear explanations of all fields that need to
be filled out. There are 7 screens that you use to choose your
eBook options.

This compiler requires your files to be in HTML format.
You follow simple directions, and the compiler loads your files.
If you decide to edit your eBook after it has been compiled,
make any changes in your original files and click on
"Compile you eBook" and your changes will appear in your
compiled eBook.

E-editor allows for some customization of your eBook.
You can create a special page that appears when the
eBook is opened; create customized icons that appear
on the desktop after downloading; use your own logo
on the task bar of your eBook; customize the task
bar's buttons, where the task bar appears in your eBook,
and choose the task bar's colors. Additionally, you can
choose to have the eBook open to the last page read,
which many of your buyers will appreciate.

An excellent and unique feature of E-ditor is the capability
to choose a standard Microsoft window or to create your
own design for a window to personalize your eBook. The
program provides some sample window designs, but you
can use any .bmp (bit map skin) graphic you have stored
on your hard drive.

E-ditor is a good choice if you are new at producing eBooks
because it is easy to use and allows you to customize the
appearance of your eBook.

* Desktop Author

This compiler does not require a browser, nor do you have to
download software or plug-ins. The program converts exe.
files into pages that look like a standard book. You can create
and produce eBook pages scaled to fit on your computer
screen without any scrolling. Additional features include
WYSIWGY (what you see is what you get) page editing
and creation, the ability to manipulate internal images, cut and
paste functions, hotlinks to pages, email, website, or other
files. It is an excellent compiler to use as a marketing tool,
such as creating brochures and manuals in addition to eBooks.

* EBook Edit Pro

This compiler provides a demo version, which allows
you to test out its features. The software uses a
Wizard that leads you step-by-step through the set-up
and creation of your eBook. Customization includes
text editing that appears on the pop-up starting message
window; the ability to allow or prevent resizing of your
book and the mouse-click pop-up menu; enabling or
disabling the navigation bar and choosing the
buttons you want to appear; and customizing the
eBook's desktop icon and the logo that appears on the
navigation bar.

Ebook Edit Pro is loaded with excellent features that
allow you to create multi-media Ebooks, and includes
a Wizard that is customized for beginners and for
advanced users. The software uses HTML files,
downloading them from the directory where they are
saved. Edit and resave your files in the original software
used to create those files, and then with a single click
you can re-compile your Ebook.

Features include customization of icons, toolbars, and the
"about box." This compiler has a particularly useful feature
called the Rebrander feature. This permits you to enter
customized code into your Ebook pages and distribute
the Rebrander software to your affiliates or distributors.
They can then customize the links included in the Ebook,
but they can not alter any link or information that you have
not entered a customized code for.

The software includes "eBrand-It" software that allows custom
fields for your customer's name, affiliate ID or URL. This feature
is a powerful marketing tool because affiliates are much happier
giving away your Ebook from their own site when they can customize it.

* Ebook Compiler

This compiler offers a demo version that allows you to compile
10 files. If you don't include graphics, you can create a 10 page
Ebook that allows printing and copying of the Ebook.
The catch is that you can't sell any Ebook you create in the
demo version.

The purchased software is user-friendly with easy-to-follow
help files that not only guide you through the steps of compiling
your Ebook, but also explains what an Ebook compiler does.
The software provides detailed instructions on how to create
source files from Microsoft Word 2000 and 1997,

PowerPoint 2000 and 1997, and HTML documents.
It contains less detailed instructions for creating source files
from other programs.

This compiler allows for password protection of your entire Ebook
or for selected pages. Additionally, you can set a time limit on
your Ebook. When the runs out, the customer no longer has access
unless they pay for it. In other words, it allows you to create a
demo version of your Ebook for marketing purposes.

You can set a single password or multiple passwords. Using
multiple passwords assigns each user their own specific password.
Online help files guide you through setting up your passwords.
You can also create a Sales and Thank-you page for selling a
password protected Ebook. This is a good choice for the novice,
particularly since it includes basic features for password protection
and distribution.

* Activ Ebook Compiler

This is an easy to use compiler that provides excellent features.
This software can support HTML, JPEG, GIF, and all active plug-ins.
Features includes password protection, branding, internet linking,
icon customization, assigning unique serial numbers, splash screen,
file compression, and start-up messages. It also provides free
lifetime upgrades. Additionally, it includes a preprocessor, re-brander,
active script, and detailed instructions for using HTML, Power Point,
and Microsoft Word files.

There are several other excellent Ebook compilers on the market that
are worth looking into.

Ebook Generator features splash screens, password protection,
branding, icon customization, and compression control. Additionally,
it includes virus prevention that alerts the user to any modifications
made to your Ebook and offers usage statistics so you can track your
Ebook's use. With all these advanced features, this is an excellent
compiler for the beginner because it is exceptionally easy to run.

Ebook Creator is another excellent compiler, supporting
HTML, JPEG, GIF, and PNG graphics, and Javascript,
VB script, and Java applets. It also supports all Internet
Explorer plug-ins. Standard features include unique serial
numbers, direct linking to a form or a page on your website,
disabled right clicking, and search functions.

The software allows for expiration after a set number of days or usages,
which allows you to create demo versions. You can create up to
1000 different passwords; every time the Ebook is downloaded, a
unique password is required to access protected pages. The
software provides user-friendly menus and buttons that allow the
beginner to the advanced user to easily create their Ebook.

Ladder up Against the Wrong Wall

The best laid plans of mice and men

Part 1: Today started of with good intensions, my goal was to set up a new campaign with my auto responder.

So of I trot to the local IT centre, after having written my course ready to load on to their fast computers. Finished in record time one hour, did my tests great, found some mistakes never mind plenty of time to alter them before I go for lunch.

Wow MESSAGE CAME UP ON THE SCREEN sorry you cannot delete your messsage from your autoresponder. PANIC what have I done wrong and where is the great guy who is the fountain of all knowledge (just popped out to do his shopping).

Ok not to worry, head for the Questions and Answer section in my Autoresponder, no answer to my challenge there.

Great the fountain of all knowledge as just arrived back, he tells me its the way the computors are set up so that people cannot go into your work and delete it.

What a fantastic idea, only thing is I can edite my work but will have to delete any messages I don't want from home.

No problem just means that my new campain will have go out next week. Hope the IT centre is open.

Not to be down hearted thought I'd catch up on my emails and blog

Reality

Reality

There’s nothing that’s certain… of THAT you can be certain!
The only certainty is that life is uncertain!
Once you surrender to the fact that you are unable to control
the uncertainty, you will, at last, be able to breath a sigh
of relief! A ‘deep’ acceptance that life is uncertain opens
the door to a powerful way of living.

There is a great adventure in the unknown
that propels us to discover powerful parts
of ourselves that we didn’t know were there.

Making the choice to live a life filled with
excitement and possibility is a first step.
Helping you take the next step… and the next… and the next…

Don’t wish for it to happen.
Don’t wish for it not to happen.
Just watch it happen.
Let the wonder of life unfold.

Destiny is a mysterious thing,
sometimes enfolding a miracle
in a leaky basket of catastrophe.

Never Give Up

Never Give up

Never Give Up - Never, never, never give up.
When you’re fully committed to achieving your
goal, giving up is not an option.

You must be willing do whatever it takes to
make it happen. The power of perseverance is
an awesome force.

As someone once said, “inch by inch it’s a cinch”.

Think of the lowly inchworm – if it pondered
the length of the trip from start to finish
before it started, it probably would never move.

To a worm’s point-of-view, the garden path must
look like a trip to Mars.Never give up!

Keep on going like the Eveready battery bunny,
and pretty soon you’re there.

Welcome To My World, Won't You Come On In?

Welcome To My World, Won't You Come On In?

I woke up this morning feeling great, the sun is shining the snow as gone except on the very top of the mountains. What a day yesterday was, one of my friend went back to the UK a week ago because her mum was not well, and yesterday I heard her mum had passed away.

My husband was watching the Spanish news and what a treat that was. They were interviewing people around the world asking how they felt about the man who had just been voted in as President off America.

I have never seen such a reaction since Nelson Mandela was released in South Africa.

Next I watched a DVD by a guy called Willie Jolley and yes that’s his real name how true were his words. If you want to see a change you have to change what you are doing now.

And last but not least Hamilton won the Grand Pri what an inspiration for the young people of the world.

I don’t want my blog to become a political battlefield so when you read my blog today please think hard and long.

What did all four of these men advocated? (CHANGE). People all over the world are hurting, no matter what class you think you are, we are all feeling the effects of the financial crisis (The World Recession) people are losing their jobs and their homes.

Here in Spain the men are losing their jobs because the building industry is collapsing round our ears, and many of their women are going each day to collect hand outs of food, this is a hard thing for them to do as they are a proud people. Many family’s have only 700 euros a month coming in to live the rents for many of these people is around 500 euro.

The expat’s are handing in the keys to their homes back to the banks because they cannot pay their mortgages, they are going back to the country they left, many of them are retired and have seen their pensions reduced by 40%

Many have lost their dream of living a better life, I’m sure everybody out there as a similar story to tell

WOW I THINK WE ARE READY FOR A CHANGE

I hope that when people all over the world look at the New President of America it will rekindle the idea of the American Dream, that no matter who, what or where you are in life we can all Succeed

A Dream, Perseverance and hard work is what takes to get on in the world. Look at problems as challenges and challenges as opportunities

I might not be able to post this whilst tomorrow as we have no Internet connection this morning. Every Cloud as a Silver Lining my husband as collected wood and corns for the fire, brought the logs in of the dry pile and put wet logs to dry in the sun.

As for myself I’ve turned over some more land and planted 30 cabbage and 30 cauiflowers plants. The vegetable garden is looking great, some of the tree in the orchard are already getting buds on ready for next years fruit.

I’ve caught up with some mundane housework, not my favorite job and best of all I’ve worked on getting some blogs ready to post and it only 10-17 in the morning

Perseverance

Snow Covered Mountains

November 3rd what a surprise, woke up this morning and the mountains are covered in snow, locals say it as been thirty years since there as been snow so early and they say we have “global warming”.

The Costa Del Sol is known for all year round sun, we have been here four years leaving a cold Britain for warmer climates (Sunny Spain), the first year here I got sun stroke on Christmas Day.

Never mind if I can get the internet to stay connected should be able to get more work done on the business, will not hold my breath though as the internet disconnected itself nine times in the last three hours.

Sat at my computer glass of red wine by my side, I’ve decided to make the most of the internet once again going down and am catching up on my writing. I’d like to thank the people who have left comments on my blog and when my computer is live I will be paying them a visit.

My book is still making progress and nearly ready to publish as an ebook. There are lots of things I need to be getting on with, I've, wrote two articles this afternoon and now looking to get them out there on the net. Great the nets on again better get this on my blog before it goes of again.
